OCTO Ops

Platform capabilities

Capture data at the source.

Built-in QR codes, barcodes, RFID, GPS, IoT devices and AI bring operational data into OCTO Ops. Manual entry stays available for every situation that needs it.

The overview

How does OCTO Ops capture data?

OCTO Ops has built-in capabilities to capture data using QR codes, barcodes, RFID, GPS, IoT devices and AI. Teams can also enter data manually and use the platform through familiar business workflows. RFID capture is available only on Enterprise packages and requires compatible devices.

Built around the workflow

Six built-in methods. One operating platform.

01

QR codes

Connect QR-coded items with their operational records. Use the relevant scanning workflow to capture or retrieve information without repeatedly typing an identifier.

02

Barcodes

Use barcode capture to connect goods, assets and operational activity with the records your team works with.

03

RFID — Enterprise packages

RFID capture is built into OCTO Ops. It works only with compatible devices and is available exclusively through an Enterprise package. Discuss the device setup and operating workflow with the team.

04

GPS

Bring location information into the platform through its built-in GPS capability. Review the tracking setup appropriate to the vehicles, assets or activities you need to follow.

05

IoT devices

Capture operating data from connected IoT devices using the platform’s built-in capabilities. Define the device data and workflow relevant to your operation during setup.

06

AI-assisted capture

Use the built-in AI capabilities to support data capture within OCTO Ops. A focused demo can show the AI capture workflow relevant to your records and operating requirements.

07

Manual entry whenever it makes sense

Add or update information manually when needed. Teams can run familiar business processes entirely through manual entry or combine it with the other capture methods.
